My Happy Place…
As a corporate Interior Designer for the last 25+ years, I find beauty in all things that live in our everyday spaces. A few years ago I took up throwing Pottery and I have been addicted ever since. Where has this been my whole life!
As every hand thrown and glazed piece of pottery is unique it gives me great joy seeing the outcome on each individual piece. They are all special in their own ways. Starting with a wet ball of clay to the last process of opening the kiln and seeing the glazed and final piece, it can take at least a few weeks. The patience I have had to learn throughout the process of making these individual pieces of pottery has been a great joy for this chapter of my life. The fact that I get to do this each and everyday, how lucky am I?!
